The Boya BY-WM6S is a compact wireless lavalier microphone system offering a cost-effective, and all-inclusive solution for recording hands-free speech from a subject to your camera, camcorder, or mobile device. The system delivers improved sound quality over the built-in mics on cameras and mobile devices to supply clear, intelligible speech and dialog for journalists, YouTube/Instagram creators, TikTok personalities, vloggers, and more.
The package includes a clip-on omnidirectional lavalier mic and bodypack transmitter with belt clip, allowing your subject to move around in front of the camera—with hands available to gesture and demonstrate—for presentations, interviews, instructions, and performances. The transmitter features an input gain control that can be adjusted to suit the talent’s speaking volume. The compact receiver offers a 230′ line-of-sight maximum operating range and includes an attachment clip and a camera shoe mount for flexible mounting options.
Cables with 3.5mm and XLR connections for your camera, smartphone, or recorder are included for the 3.5mm line output, while the additional 3.5mm jack on the receiver lets you plug in headphones for monitoring while you’re working on set. The volume control on the receiver is for the headphone jack only and there is no separate control for the line-level output.
The transmitter and receiver are both powered by built-in lithium-ion batteries for up to 10 hours and arrive set to the same preset UHF channel. If interference is heard, simply set the transmitter and receiver to another of the 48 selectable operating frequencies—just make sure both components are on the same channel. Once the transmitter and receiver are synced up, simply plug the receiver into your recording device, and you’re ready to go.
Lavalier Mic & Bodypack Transmitter

Compact Receiver
- The compact receiver features a belt clip that comes off to accommodate the included shoe mount for placement on your camera.
- A 3.5mm TRS cable for connection to a camera or camcorder is included. A 3.5mm TRS to TRRS cable for connection to a smartphone or tablet equipped with a headphone jack is also included.
- A 3.5mm to XLR cable is included for use with camcorders, audio recorders, mixers, and additional gear.
- The receiver features a 3.5mm headphone jack with volume control for monitoring.
- Up to eight BY-WM6S systems can operate simultaneously in the same location, but each system should be separated by at least 16.5′ to avoid interference.
